Assembly Bill 2 is a “common sense” approach to the problem of lawfully carrying firearms in a vehicle which becomes unlawful as soon as one enters school property.
The current law disarms lawful firearms owners and Concealed Firearms Permit holders from carrying their firearm in their vehicle if any time during their day they must enter upon school property. This means that working students for instance, must leave their firearms at home while they go to work, perform other activities if any part of their day they have to be on school property.
This common sense approach allows firearms to be kept securely locked in a vehicle while one is on school property.
The Nevada Firearms Coalition is in strong support of the passage of this legislation.
